Saturday night we went on a haunted history tour in the French Quarter. We learned about various hauntings in the area. Sunday was our first full day at the gathering. We spent the morning and afternoon at the Convention Center. After-wards we went to the Aquarium and the IMAX theater. Then we went to the Superdome for the mass event. We finished the night with a ride on a river boat. Today we had a similar schedule. We looked at the booths and went to different sessions at the Convention Center.

July 15

After an extremely tiring and looooooong bus ride, we finally arrived to our destination: New Orleans, Louisiana. After a few roadblocks, we were finally able to manage to take showers (which were much needed)!!! Our first adventure to Mulates, a Cajun restaurant with live music and dancing, included meals of alligator, frog legs, crawdads, and other New Orleans' favorites. Today's servant project consisted of renovating the Southern District's office. We pulled carpet, installed drywall, moved office furniture, and did lawn care. After an amazing lunch made by the nice, old Lutheran Ladies, we boarded the buses and visited Camp Restore on our way to the Lower Ninth Ward (an area hit hardest by hurricane Katrina). After a very touching tour of this area, we headed to the hotel to cool off after a HOT day. To top the evening, we headed to Bubba Gump Shrimp to celebrate Michael's 18th birthday with A LOT of shrimp. Don't worry, he had a birthday cake! We are JAZZED for tomorrow!

With only 4 days left till we hit the road we found a male adult who will be able to take Mike's spot! God is great and provides for what He knows we need!
